Vote and Spring Meeting

There are quite a few things on our agenda within the next couple of weeks!

Item #1:
Voting is now open for the position of KUAR Events Coordinator.

Which brings us to Item #2:
Our first meeting of the spring semester will be on Thursday, February 28 at 5:00PM at the Bird Dog Bar in The Oread Hotel on campus.Come one, come all! And please, if you know anyone interested in rhetoric from any area of study, pass word along that they are welcome to come and "check us out!" 

Our meeting agenda will cover all of the following: 

• Announcement of the new Events Coordinator as determined by your votes
• Dr. Jeffrey Bennett's scholarly visit/event in April
• Updates on the summer RSA Institute
• Updates on the (tentative) Service Day event
• and updates on the Social Event this spring

New KU Ars Position

It's official. KU Ars Rhetorica is opening nominations for the "Events Coordinator" position until 2/13. 

What is this you ask? 

The Events Coordinator will work with the Chair and Co-Chair in scheduling social, service, and scholarly events. He/She will also be in charge of coordinating event details (e.g. location, time, etc…) and will work with the Secretary for publicity purposes.

Why should you nominate?

It is a great CV line and a chance to get involved in KU Ars Rhetorica without a huge time commitment. Moreover, it'll give you a talking point/in this summer at RSA Institute (and RSA in general). 

How can I do this? 

Email or FB anyone on the board to nominate yourself and/or your friends and stay tuned for our election!
